Could it be a cat that roams the cloister?
No, for sure —it’s the sound of a monster!
It’s night. Dante is awakened by a strange noise and… bravely decides to follow it.
What could it be?
Join him on this rhyming journey and get ready to be surprised by the ending.

One inside the other
Clues to find, other stories to tell
This book isn’t just an invitation to read aloud, to spend time together, to laugh or imagine.
It’s a spark for magical conversations with children, to introduce them to new worlds and to enter — on tiptoe — into theirs.
That’s why the book is filled with messages and images that contain other stories, like a set of Russian dolls, one hidden inside the next.
Each of us can enrich this experience with our own story.
And why not? We can explore—and help others explore.
So carefully observe the illustrations and find the "clues" —more or less hidden—to the other stories you can tell.
-
A face on the dresser
The lady in the photo frame on the dresser is special.
She surely is to us, and she might become so for you too.
Silent, elegant, watchful—she loves to travel through emotions.
And through her books, she answers. -
A door in scarlet
House number 222B is where this dad snores mightily.
We wonder if the neighbors were alarmed by that strange sound too.
Maybe they thought about investigating.
Or perhaps... they already knew the answer. -
Portraits and gazes
There are many paintings in this book—portraits, to be precise.
One of them is a self-portrait.
There’s something truly magnetic in that gaze.
Something that stays with you.
And by the way... it keeps watching you. -
A trip to the Moon
The Moon has always been a source of inspiration for artists.
Here we pay homage to one of them: a French gentleman, famous... I dare say magical.
He too, in turn, was inspired by great authors.
When you find out who he is, you will be grateful.
Something missing?
Don’t worry, we’re here.
Turn your computer or phone screen around and you’ll have the answer!
Just kidding, the answers will come.
As promised, everything in its time.

Who are we?
Calle dee Fole is a family project.
Born from the desire to share the joy of storytelling—by those who read and those who listen.
For us, reading has always been a bond:
a chance to connect, to understand one another, to grow together.
"My dad snores like a monster" is the first of our books.
Written, illustrated, and lovingly crafted by eight hands—some big, some small.
New stories are already on the way… stay tuned.
-
Dante
Dante is the story’s main character, but also the youngest member of Calle dee Fole.
He came up with the title and idea for this first book.
Not hard to guess why—his dad really does snore like a monster. -
Ulisse
Ulisse is the other young mind in the group.
Yes, here every name tells a story.
And he has many to share—especially when it comes to the history of art, his greatest passion. -
Laura
Laura wrote the texts.
After years of reading aloud, hunting for books, and breathing in stories, the time came to switch roles—from reader to writer.
But not permanently. -
Roberto
As you may have guessed — the mighty snoring is his.
But he’s also the one behind the illustrations.
We’d say that more than makes up for it.
Wouldn’t you agree?
Our name? Another story

In Venetian dialect, Calle dee Fole means “Street of Fables.”
We chose this name because we’ve always been fascinated by Venice.
In a world that has taught us to rush, Venice gently forces you to slow down—to return to the rhythm of your own pace.
Or better yet, to the pace of its bridges.
